Steven DeLong is a composer based in Los Angeles. His work is emotionally resonant and elegantly produced, it tells a story and elevates the visual medium.
Steven fell in love with films at an early age, recognizing the power that a well-told story can wield. Ever since he began playing guitar and discovered expression in creating music, he has been seeking to combine these two art forms in profound and meaningful ways. That pursuit led him to study music composition at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and music composition for the screen at Columbia College Chicago, where he earned a master of fine arts degree.
Steven has been writing music for primetime network television, films, and video games. He has also gained extensive experience as a recording engineer, producer, and mixer.
As a composer, Steven's musical inspiration flows from a wide spectrum of influences. From fugues to funk, he has studied the work of his musical heroes and is currently standing on their shoulders to establish his own unique compositional voice.
